Tristan is a carpenter and residential contractor on Bowen Island.

Having worked as a commercial photographer for ten years, he went on to study arboriculture at Kwantlen University and ultimately landed on woodwork and building as his ideal medium. With a discerning eye and a reverence for the landscape of the North West, Tristan strives for conversation between the native flora and human made creation. While implementing better building practices, he aims to create work that appears to have risen from the earth, not fallen from the sky. He now keeps photography as a meditative practice.
